We are currently looking for candidates with the following availability requirements:

  • Availability to work on holidays, including Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day, with extra pay.

  • Consistent availability for early morning, evening, and weekend shifts.

  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to varying scheduling needs, including weekends.

  • Understanding that hours may be very limited initially, as this is a very part-time position.

We service Concord, NC (28027, 28025), Harrisburg, NC (28075), Kannapolis, NC (28081, 28083) and Midland, NC (28107).

Requirements:

  • You need to be a dedicated animal lover, patient and compassionate towards animals. We follow a fear-free/force-free approach. And you should enjoy spending time outdoors! 

  • You should be comfortable working with various breeds and sizes.

  • Being able to safely lift 50 pounds and walk briskly for 30 minutes is necessary.

  • You must be punctual, reliable, detail-oriented and able to follow instructions.

  • You should be able to work on your own with little to no supervision.

  • You need to be available year-round, including evenings, weekends and most major holidays.

  • You must be based in Cabarrus County, NC (Concord, Harrisburg, Kannapolis, Midland) or nearby.

  • You must be at least 18 years old and be able to pass a federal background check.

  • You need a driver’s license and your own reliable and insured mode of transportation.

  • You need to have a modern smartphone, including a good camera for quality pet pictures, and be able to use apps and communicate via text message.

  • You need to have good written and verbal communication skills.

  • You should have another source of income as this job does not guarantee any hours and is meant to be supplemental income.

Responsibilities:

  • Caring for animals, primarily dogs and cats, which involves tasks like walking, feeding, cleaning up, administering medications, providing enrichment, and other duties when required.

  • Driving to the appointments.

  • Checking in and out of the appointments using our mobile app.

  • Writing nice informative updates with pictures to let clients know how their pets are doing.

  • Actively participating as a team member in company training, educational activities, events, and programs.

  • Keeping in touch with clients, staff, and management through messages, voice, and email.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $50 - $500 a week (earnings based on staff member availability, performance and client demand)

  • At the start of your employment, we cannot guarantee a specific number of hours, as this is a very part-time position initially. Opportunities for increased hours may arise as you become established.

  • The hours provided may not be consecutive and could involve split shifts.

  • We will not consider anyone for this position who is currently employed as a caregiver for another company, themselves or as an online service provider and wishes to remain so. 

  • We provide dog walking and pet sitting in the owner’s home and driving will be required within the Cabarrus County area.

Do you have a valid driver's license, and do you have a safe, dependable, and insured vehicle that is consistently available to you for the purposes of dog walking/pet sitting and transporting animals in case of emergency? We rely heavily on technology. You must possess a newer smartphone (no TracFones) and a home computer. You need to be knowledgeable and comfortable with the use of smartphones including accessing the internet and utilizing multiple apps. Where do you conside yourself on a scale of 1 to 5?
This role involves taking care of pets in clients' homes, walking dogs outdoors, navigating various terrains, and cleaning up animal waste. Some animals may need to be lifted (up to 50lbs.). You may also interact with the general public, and the animals they may also own. Can you manage all the tasks mentioned in the job description?
As pet sitters and dog walkers, our schedules vary from week to week, and there are no guaranteed hours. While it is possible to eventually generate a full-time income in this role, it is designed to serve as supplementary income rather than your primary source. Do you understand and agree?

Our most popular service is a 30 minute visit. What we do during a visit varies from client to client. Some will just need their litter box scooped and their cat fed, while some may have several dogs that need to be walked. Each client provides specific instructions for every visit.
